What is the Message Center?
Use the Message Center to set up and schedule alerts for events you want to know about. For example, if you want to know if the temperature rises above or below a certain point, you can set an alert.
How Do I Create an Alert?
- Click on Equipment on the menu bar.
- Select Message Center
- Click Add an alert.
- Name your alert
- Click the Plus sign on the When
- Select the State of Equipment – such as the piece of equipment, temperature limits and on/off;
- Click Set.
- Click the Plus sign on the Set Alert
- Select the Send me a notification if you want to receive an email and/or text message if the “When” rule is triggered;
- Click Set
- Check Email and/or SMS for your preferred alert channel
- Enter an alert message for yourself
- Choose notification frequency from the dropdown menu.
- Click Set.
- Click the Plus sign on the Set Priority
- Select Priority
- Click High or Low to define the importance of the alert.
- Review your Alert rule set
- Edit or add additional “When”, “Alert” or “Priority” rules
- Click Save.
Your alert will display on the “Message Center” page.
After you click on Save, you will have the opportunity to set additional alerts. You may add as many alerts as you would like.
Tips & Tricks
If you have more than one location (like a vacation home), the Message Center will display all alerts across all locations.
